The Bra Pops Up Across the Pond—and Love Abounds!

I’ve traveled with my mom before, just the two of us. And of course, I’ve traveled with my partner Christine plenty. But I’d never been on a trip with both of them together until this summer.
We were invited to pop-up in London in July, and of course I had to be there. I asked Christine to come along as my plus-one. Then Mom caught wind of the plan, got some major FOMO, and said, “Oh! I wanna come!”

I’ll be honest, my first thought was, "Uh-oh. Mom’s totally gonna cramp our style." But her excitement couldn’t be contained—and next thing I knew, she’s texting me her flight confirmation and hotel details. 😂
Turns out… it was one of the best trips ever.

Having the two most important women in my life there with me for this wild overseas adventure was magical. We were in London because The Sports Bra set up a pop up at Style of Our Own (SOOO), an innovative, immersive, women-led retail space on Regent Street. This place is like a love letter to women’s athletics, featuring so many fantastic women-owned brands in a space that speaks to my soul. It has a mini football pitch to test out gear, a coffee shop, and a DJ. They plan to host hundreds of events, including this one! SOOO staged an immersive experience in celebration of women's sports, which included our own Bra pop-up, a Lionesses watch party (they're England's national women's football team), a make-your-own football kit station, great music, and a super energetic crowd of women cheering their hearts out for the team during an incredibly rousing watch party.

During the event in their space halfway across the world, I paused to watch people experience The Bra’s spirit for the first time. At that moment, it hit me how far this little dream has traveled. When we say Everyone Watches Women’s Sports, we mean everyone. This isn’t just a U.S. thing. This is a global movement, and you’re all part of it. ⚽🌍💪
Between pop-up events and work, Mom, Christine and I explored the sights, ate incredible food, and just enjoyed each other’s company. It felt effortless—simple, lovely, and so special.

I’m getting older, and I see my parents getting older, too. Watching how curious, adventurous, and full of life my mom still is inspires me to soak up as many moments with her as possible. I know not everyone has a mom like I do, and I don’t take her for granted. Sharing this trip with her and Christine together is something I’ll remember forever. 🫶🏼✨
Oh, and London Pride? My first Pride outside the U.S.? HOLY WOW. It was like 25x more colorful, more joyful, more everything than anything I’ve ever seen. The trans pride was celebrated. The whole city was glitter, rainbows, and pure queer joy. 🌈💃🏻🪩

It was the perfect reminder of what The Bra is all about: community, celebration, and lifting each other up—wherever in the world we happen to be.
